Abstract

Colitis cystica profunda (CCP) is a rare benign disease characterized by mucus-filled cysts in the submucosa, sometimes similar to malignant tumors. Endoscopic, radiological and even histological examinations are not highly specific, which can easily lead to missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, resulting in unnecessary radical surgical resection.
