We study a single location supply system for repairable spare parts. The system consists of a multi-server repairshop and an inventory with ready-to-use spare parts. When a failed part is received, a new (or as-good-as-new) replacement (if available in the inventory) is sent back and the failed part is sent to the repair shop. In case of unavailability, failed requests are backordered and fulfilled when a ready-for-use part of same type is received from the repairshop. The repair shop has several multi-skilled parallel servers (technicians) that are capable to handle certain types of spares. In this paper, we propose a Particle Swarm Optimization heuristic combined with Discrete-Event Simulation for optimizing the cross training policy (skill assignment scheme) while minimizing the total system cost (consisting of inventory costs, backorder penalty cost, server cost and skill cost).

Abstract
Telefónica del sur is a business company that nowadays is withing “grupo GTD”, wich is going through big changes and restructuring of some processes, wich is why in this paper we will analyze one of these, the process is called “Pre-Venta”, this process is within the “Ventas” macro processes and his main role is to give IT support to the business executives when these get a complex problem, to understand the process we had to model a BPMN to be able to follow clearly every step, given that the industry is governed by certain norms to be able to certify the business company.

Being pioneers in innovation undoubtedly makes a company more attractive to the market, to be able to offer the customer an authentic solution is the seal that the company will acquire after the redesign, mainly is to give the user the possibility to take ideas out of their imagination and materialize them In an object, the approach we will address will be to offer solutions in the context of a ironmongery, either for a spare, or an adapter that does not exist in the Market. The support of design methodologies helped us to find the solution we were looking for, also to know how to get the client to transmit what he wants. Finally we managed to transcend in the ironmongery Market of Valdivia and compete side by side with the big chains (Sodimac, Ferretería Sur, among others).
Resumen
Ser pioneros en innovación sin duda hace que una empresa sea más atractiva para el Mercado, poderle ofrecer al cliente una solución autentica es el sello que adquirirá la empresa luego del Rediseño, principalmente es darle al usuario la posibilidad de sacar ideas de su imaginación y materializarlas en un objeto, el enfoque que abordaremos será en ofrecer soluciones en el contexto de una Ferretería, ya sea para un repuesto, o un adaptador que no existe en el Mercado. El Apoyo de metodologías de diseño nos ayudó a encontrar la solución que buscábamos, también para saber cómo lograr que el cliente nos transmita lo que desee. Finalmente logramos trascender en el Mercado Ferretero de Valdivia y competir codo a codo con las grandes cadenas (Sodimac, Ferretería Sur, entre otros).

abstract
Processes within companies define their operation, structure and efficiency towards the market, therefore, formalizing the activities performed in a process is the key to detect failures. The company RallyKarting today can be named as an entertainment center for extreme sports in the country, however, there are many organizational problems such as shift conflicts, disorder in the designation of charges, null telephone reception, use of a software that isn’t adapted to the culture of the company, among others. The analysis consists of visiting the company as a client to carry out an external observation of the processes and, in addition, an internal observation through a survey with the local administrator. From both observations we obtain a model of activities made with the BPMN, studied to make a redesign that solves the problems found.

El proceso de seguimiento de las comunidades de la fundación TECHO Chile es fundamental para la organizacion puesto que define la base del trabajo que ellos hacen acompañando a las comunidades que habitan en campamentos. Su relevancia se vislumbra al observar que es controlado por dos entes, uno regional y otro nacional, los cuales se deben coordinar para no reejecutar labores, donde el tiempo de ejecución del proceso es lo fundamental. La optimización del proceso se guío en ideas revolucionarias y evolucionarias que pudieran ser adoptadas por la cultura organizacional de la fundacion. Finalmente se descubre, entre otras cosas al rediseñar puede ser igual de importante llegar a la conclusión de generar un gran nuevo sistema de información como puede ser el cambio de pequeños detalles que sin conocer la cultura de la empresa pueden ser insignificantes.
Rediseño del proceso de actualizacion socioeconomica con un acercamiento lean thinking

Cada año en la universidad austral de chile, existe un periodo en el que se realiza la actualización socioeconómica, en la cual se debe entregar una cantidad muy extensa de documentos, lo que conlleva una gran cantidad de trámites, esto a su vez, significa muchas dificultades en la organización interna de la universidad. El gran volumen de papeles y la escasa cantidad de gente en la organización, hacen que sea un proceso bastante largo y lento, además de la poca tecnología con la que se cuenta para ingresar los datos. Dentro de lo posible se intentó entender a fondo el proceso, haciendo varias entrevistas a la gente que trabaja ahí, para plantear un rediseño, usando la metodología lean thinking como guía para este, entre otros principios de diseño. Se descubrió que existe una base de datos ya implementada, pero que se usa para ingresar datos y no extraer información de la misma, se logró modelar tres BPMN, representando la situación actual, una ideal y otra realista para plantear como solución. Se plantea también un entorno básico con respecto a la implementación de la solución. Por ultimo nuestras conclusiones de lo investigado, sugieren que es posible de llevar a cabo un cambio en el proceso, pero aún quedan incógnitas a tener en cuenta antes de poder seguir el desarrollo del proyecto.

In this paper we’ll discuss the analysis and redesign of the process of coordination for the ambulances of ”Hospital Base de Valdivia”.
The hospital has an ambulance service for transporting patients in need of periodic treatment, like dialisis. These ambulances are coordinated centrally by a coordinator who receives each request, collects them, and generate an optimal route for each ambulance.
The coordinator has done this job for many years, and has a wealth of tacit knowledge about the process that is not available elsewhere. She knows most of the patients, and the most common routes by heart. We think that this is a problem, if something were to happen to the coordinator, her replacement would not be able to do her job, and to solve this problem we focused on formalizing the process, and developing tools to simplify the process, so anyone could do the job.

Tópicos Especiais em Engenharia de Software 2 - Work Report
This document describes the work done during the Tópicos Especiais em Engenharia de Software 2 course. This course was taught by Dsc Claudia Werner and was hold during the second period of the 2015 PESC-UFRJ academic year. The work was a continuation of the research started during the Reutilização de Software course (also taught by Dsc Claudia Werner during the first period of the 2015 academic year).
The initial research was mainly about Software Processes Composition. It involved, among other tasks, a basic literature review and produced a document that shows some important related articles and describes some problems that we believe that are related to the Development Processes Composition. In contrast with the first research - that involved a more theoretical investigation - the work described in this document had a more practical approach. It consisted, among other things, in the implementation of an API that provides some operators for Processes Composition and Processes Tailoring. These operators manipulate only processes described in BPMN and were firstly introduced by \cite{Istoan_2012} and \cite{Pillat_2012}. The work also involved the integration of this API with a web application called ProcessHub Web.
The software development area - as other areas - faces a very competitive scenario \cite{Cerpa_2009}. Maximizes human resources and deliver better softwares with low costs are a goal gold. IT Companies had heavily invested in software process development improvement as strategy to achieve this goal \cite{sommerville2004} \cite{Dumas_2013} \cite{Kelly_1999}. We truly believe that organizations could have benefits in adopting techniques of Business Process Managment to improve the quality of their services. This adoption - specially in large scale - inevitably requires Processes Composition and Processes Tailoring. This work gives a small contribution to this area since it explores some real problems related with Processes Composition and Processes Tailoring.
