I took my MSc. in Computational Physics at the University of Oslo in 2015, studying nanostructured tight rocks using molecular dynamics. I have now started on a Ph.D. at the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London, where I am part of the NanoHeal Network. NanoHeal is a Marie Curie innovative training network under grant agreement no: 642976. NanoHeal aim to nano-tailor organo-mineral cementing materials in terms of being able to control strength and healing properties of the cementing material.
I will focus on the atomistic scale using molecular dynamics simulations to understand how confinement influences the crystal growth of the cementing material, and how the presence of ions in the solute influence the growth and dissolution, as well as looking at structure and properties of the cementing material.
