Neurodiversity inclusion, acceptance and change is core to my work, practice and life.
I am a champion for Autism Awareness and Mental Health training and consultation, and also provide consultation on inclusion and participation, reducing health inequalities, providing specialist tailored support for mental health, and integrating workplace changes for access to ongoing and meaningful employment for neurodivergent people.
As an autism ageing researcher, my research is centred around supporting autistic adults, through inclusive research, to develop ways of informing inclusive health and social care of autistic people as they grow older.
My research includes learning about the changes that can occur in older age related to cognitive difficulties (e.g. memory, executive function, prospective memory 'remembering to remember' / future thinking), changes in physical and mental health and how these aspects can affect the everyday lives (autonomy, daily living) and quality of life of autistic people. My work aims to involve autistic adults in the research process, to find better ways of helping autistic adults to lead longer and healthier lives.
