Srinivasa R Penumutchu
Researcher at Case western Reserve university
I am Srinivasa Rao, completed Ph.D in field of Biomolecular NMR from Department of Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan. In past years, I focused on understanding the S100 protein interaction with various partner protein targets and small molecules and Potential Inhibitors of S100P/RAGE interactions that implicated in Pancreatic Cancer. During my stint at NTHU, I have conducted extensive studies using Heteronuclear NMR, ITC and other biophysical tools to characterize the novel S100 protein-protein interactions. I started my research work as a PhD student in the year 2010 and during this course of time; I have published my research findings in international publications. Apart from this I have additional expertise in the synthesis of peptides and hetero cyclic moieties. Presently I am working as a Post-doc at case western reserve university. I am working on projects that involved in mRNA splicing & mRNA and RNP structures that contribute to HIV and EV71 viral Pathogenesis and determine the solution structure of RNA-protein complex that play an important role in alternative splice site selection and viral Pathogenesis.
