Abstract

Since its origin in 1930 as a solitary institution, NIH has seen tremendous growth and has contributed significantly to biomedical research and to healthcare worldwide.  However, with great expansion and increasing bureaucracy several shortcomings have crept in at NIH that could derail the mission of NIH, the research and healthcare.  The following article is to show the shortcomings and how to get rid of them.
