Abstract

The proposed study aims to evaluate the feasibility of determinig the fault location in electrical systems, by analyzing the resulting magnetic signatures. Thus, several algorithms - described in the current scientific literature and for the processing of conducted signals - will be analyzed in order to verify the possibility of complementing the methodologies already developed for fault detection and classification, a non-invasive way and by analysis magnetic signatures resulting. Differently from traditional monitoring process, in which the sensors need to be physically connected to the analyzed circuits. It should be noted, the characteristic of this methodology as a non-invasive procedure. The evaluation of the proposed methodology will be carried out through the choice of sensitivity cases, which theoretical results obtained from simulations will be used to analyze its viability.
