Since
blended librarianship is still a new concept, Corrall (2010) made an
investigation at the Sheffield iSchool to find out whether the courses offered
in the curricula prepared students for blended roles. Corrall (2010) found that
the curricula did not mirror the requirements of blended librarianship and then
concluded that librarianship education needed change in the curricula in order
to maintain a strong professional focus, informed by best practice in the
field, while also attaining high academic standards, inspired by leading-edge research.
