and Shank (2007) have referred instructional technology to the use hardware,
software, and systems created specifically for or adapted to an educational
purpose i.e. chalkboard, an iPod, a clicker (personal response system), and a
simulation game. They see instructional technologies as means to transmit
information from a source to a receiver and aid in the development of learned
skills. &nbsp;&nbsp;A blended librarian who works
with instructional technologies must collaborate with faculty to match the
appropriate technologies to teaching and assist faculty in the effective use of
