According
to Hinchliffe and Wong (2010), there is a new generation of scholars that uses
technology in pursuit of learning, this generation is also described as the
21st century learners and are in support of the conceptual shift from teaching
to learning that Barr and Tagg (1995) put forth in their touchstone article
“from Teaching to Learning: A New Paradigm for Undergraduate Education.” In
their article, they illustrated that libraries that used the LCs framework made
a shift from just providing information resources to also providing tools for
using information and this created a new dynamic on library services and space
that was particularly welcoming to undergraduate students.
