From the details in the definition, the researcher  will use this chapter to present the ongoing conversations and debates about  blended librarianship, and its role of the professionalization of academic  librarians. Machi and McEvoy  (2012: 64) and Ridley (2012: 102) refer to the ongoing debates and conversations  about a topic as the argument of discovery, which they insist leads to the  argument of advocacy.  The argument of  advocacy presents the major claims about blended librarianship in a critical  review (Ridley, 2012), which follows an “if…then” type of discussion (Machi and McEvoy,  2012), that leads to propositions will be interrogated during the data  analysis stage (see Fig. 2).
