The product of festivals and the whole cultural field is a definition of true culture. Cultural activity is kind of _pratice of knowledge_, that maintain the value of culture in general, and particular cultural activities. What might be win or lost in this game is the group or personal position within the field of culture, which might be a source of both social and financial reward. Number of positions that are source of significant financial reward is very limited in the field of cultural production, although they exist, especailly on the intersections with the field of politics, trade and industry. From the other hand, politicians and businessmen entering the field of cultural production usually understand the role of culture in atracting mass atention and creating the impression of prestige. The aim of political governing over the field of culture is to produce as many spectacular, cultural events as possible, and to associate them with particulat governors, without taking full responsibilty for cultural production and avoiding bearing the costs. I believe that attitude of politians toward the field of culture is simillar to attitude of priests toward the field of politics, both politician talking publicly about culture and priest talking publicly about politics has to use speciall kind of euphemisms.     In short we may say that majority of individuals acting in the process of festival production aims to gain this kind of a  position within the field of cultural production, that offers them the  most demanded type of reward, usually appreciation as the creator (or organizer) of true culture. culture, sometimes this is an ultimate goal, and sometimes a mean to increase political or economic capital.
