So now we have communicated our ocean signal from one region to a large part of the globe, but we still don't know why the response of the land is amplified.\\  This is where we find a similarity to the global warming land/ocean temperature contrast. Once again, the dryness of the air above land surfaces is makes it  more sensitive to change, so the oceans increase or decrease the temperature of the troposphere and this change is amplified over the land.
