The radiative transfer equation has been solved in one dimension using the Monte Carlo method.
Calculations were validated against single scattering measurements and theoretical calculations of bidirectional reflectivity and transmissivity of polystyrene spheres as a function incidence angle\cite{Hottel_1970}.
