Clinical Decision Support System in Pediatrics and E-Prescribing: Recommendation and an Action Plan is an expert system created on Java and Microsoft SQL Server 2005 as their programming language and database system respectively. The
abstract goes here. main objective of Clinical Decision Support System specifically on Pediatrics and E-Prescribing (Electronic Prescribing), with the integration of a medical knowledge-base, patient's data, and an inference engine is to generate case specific advice, and Decision Support System that will improve the quality and accuracy of medical decisions at the time and place that these decisions are made.
The proposed system will benefit the hospitals, the management of the hospitals, the hospitals' existing physicians (e.g. Pediatricians) and medical staff, and the patients. To access health information of existing patients through their database systems will be easier due to its automation. Therefore, medical staffs and physicians will be spending less time in screening and evaluating files and/or information of existing patients. Misdiagnosis will be eliminated due to the Decision Support System which will output the exact interpretation based on the diagnoses done from the patients.
