<div>In the US, female tenure professors make up less than 30% of all tenure staff. Other western countries share similarly low numbers. In France, women comprised around 28% of all researchers. The only exceptions where females seem to take the lead are some South American and Southeast Asian countries. The average proportion of male researchers in the South America is around 44%. In Bolivia specifically, women make up a surprising 63% of researchers. In Myanmar, women make up around 86% of researchers!
