The simulations from S. Offner have
Driven external turbulence (like Offner et al. 2008)
10 K isothermal gas
\(\mathcal{M}=6.8\)
size: 2 pc\(^{3}\)
convolved with 46" FWHM beam
Gaussian noise of 0.15 K added (this is the sigma-clipped standard deviation of the off-channels in the observational cube)
heating added (internally from stars; raises peak leaf temperatures by 1 K)
- sink particles are treated as stars, with their mass and accretion rate setting the radiative feedback they produce
post-processed w/ RADMC3D in \(^{13}\)CO
- 0.066 km/s channels
PDR chemistry
as compared to IC 348 parameters derived by Pineda et al. (2008) (all for ^13CO):
\(T_{B,\rm max}=0.93\) K
\(v_{\rm LSR}=8.99\) km s\(^{-1}\)
\(\sigma_v=0.95\) km s\(^{-1}\)
\(T_{\rm ex}=12\) K
\(\tau=0.35\)
