The "scipy stack" is set of core python packages for scientific computing and easiest way to install it is through a free scientific python distribution such as Continuun Anaconda.  FRETBursts can be installed as a normal python package through the standard python package manager (PIP) with   \textt{pip \verb|pip  install fretbursts}. fretbursts|.  Alternatively the latest development version can be installed from GitHub.
