Our goal is to determine whether court rulings tend to move  attitudes in the direction "intended" by the ruling or whether rulings tend to move  attitudes in the opposite direction or polarize attitudes.  To address this question, we We  will focus rulings about gender discrimination and their impact on on attitudes about gender roles.
