Further considerations / future modifications

  • What on-source time is needed in a scan of the phase calibrator to ensure that it can be useful as a polarization calibrator? (how much signal-to-noise per channel)

  • (How to) Ensure the phase calibrator is observed over large enough parallactic angle to be used as polarization calibrator?

  • To save a bit of overhead per SB, try using Lorant’s code’s method to calculate the “worst-case-scenario” for the initial slew, rather than assuming that the slew will take up to 9 minutes (which we’ve split into 7m3s slew, a setup scan, and extra time on the flux calibrator)
