\section{A Stochastic Optimization Model for Positioning Disaster Response Facilities for Large Scale}  Location\\  Verma and Gaukler \cite{VermaGaukler2011} proposed a two-stage stochastic k-median model for locating disaster response facility(or , as in many papers named as :relief distribution centers,RDC) at firs stage,i.e. pre-disaster phase and determining amount of transferred items form RDCs to AAs at the second stage, i.e post-disaster phase. Unlike traditional k-median models that the facility functionality is independent of distance from the disaster epicenter, the proposed model correlates the functioning of a facility with a particular disaster scenario, in which the disruption in facility is a function of its distance from epicenter and that the function is obtain from historical data.  For solving the problem, the authors implemented L-shape algorithm and a computational case study is carried out on California state.
