Furthermore, \citet{deng2013kinect} proposed three types of shadows over Kinect depth maps. These are attached shadows, detached shadows and alignment shadows. The Kinect has the IR projector positioned to the left of the IR camera (see Figure.
17(a)), 18(a)), it is clear that the shadows in the original depth map will always be spotted to the left of any occluding foreground objects. This course of action considers the detection shadows by examining every horizontal line in the unaligned depth guide. As a result, exact patterns of the shadows can be retrieved, as shown in Figure.
