\subsection{Statement of the Problem}  Since 2011, there has been a growing movement of games dealing with environmental issues. issues \cite{Jones_2011}.  Environmental games help educate the public on the importance of the environment and the XBox is one platform in which a developer can release such games. However, little to no environmental games have been released for the XBox. The Kinect for XBox is an alternative controller in which players can use gestures and voice commands to control the game. The best learning experience is when the player is fully engaged \cite{To_2013}. The researchers intend to develop a game for the Kinect which involves the catching of trash and segregating them. The researchers also intend to implement a projectile model and recognition algorithms and also enhance a collision detection algorithm for the game.
