The histograms in the third column compare the probability density function (PDF) of Euclidean distances by which the members of each cloud regime differ from the cluster centroid.   N.B. the Euclidean distances based on the means and histograms cannot be compared directly due to the large difference in the dimensional number of the state vectors (3 vs 42).  The fourth column shows the m same, but using the simulated ISCCP histograms from ACCESS1.3.
