Figure~\ref{fig:CRE_SW_deco_2} compares the decomposed SW CRE bias between the modified microphysics scheme and the original ACCESS1.3.
We observe:
\begin{itemize}
\item Biases related to the occurrence of the compensating optically thin cloud regimes are reduced (H1, H2, H4 and H6), with corresponding reductions in biases related to the frequenct of occurrence of the optically-thick cloud regimes (H3, H5 and H7).
\item The largest bias reduction is between the optically-thin mid-topped cloud regimes H6 and H7, which occur in the cold-air section of the composite cyclone.
\item There is little bias reduction in the optically thicker mid-topped cloud regimes H8 and H9. H8 is observed around the southern part of the composite cyclone, and H9 is found nearest the storm centre.
