The dynamical and thermodynamical contexts associated with the hybrid cloud regimes are not coherent between the observations and simulations \citep[see][for a robust evaluation of ACCESS1.3 in the context of extratropical cyclones]{Govekar_2014}.  Figure~\ref{fig:CC_RFO_obs} Figure~\ref[Figure][]{fig:CC_RFO_obs}  shows the observed RFO of the hybrid cloud regimes in the context of a composite cyclones identified in the Southern Ocean during DJF.
