This predicted model shows that the velocity decreases at greater radii from the centre, which is where most of the mass is predicted to be. On small scales, such as our own solar system, this is true.
However, this is not what current observations show to be true. Data taken on the Triangulum spiral galaxy, M33, gives the following profiles.
