The black dashed line indicates the location of the physical galactic midplane, while the solid black lines indicate $\pm$ 20 pc from the galactic midplane at the 3.1 kpc distance to BC\_4.14-0.02, assuming the candidate is associated with the \citet{Dame_2011} Scutum-Centaurus model.  A trace of BC\_4.14-0.02, as it would appear as a mid-IR extinction feature, is superimposed on the CO emission map.
