\label{fig:mass_of_bones}: A comparison of the physical properties of the Bone candidates, based on a similar table from \citet{Goodman_2014}. We assume the filaments are cylindrically shaped, and calculate the volume based on measured with radius and length. We \textit{estimate} an average H$_2$ column density appropriate to a GLIMPSE mid-infrared extinction features ($\approx2\rm{E}+22 ($\approx2\rm{E}22  \rm{cm}^{-2}$) but plan to perform extinction mapping on each candidate to physically measure this parameter in a follow-up study.
