What does happen when you pour a liquid on a pool of the same liquid? As far as most people know, both liquids are gonna be merged into one body  upon contact immediately. Bouncing jet is a phenomenon that happens when a viscous liquid is dropped or poured in a pool of the same exact liquid under certain conditions. Those conditions are consist of flow rate, velocity and adding a thin layer of air above the pool. The jet liquid would bounce on a trajectory path stream above the pool while separated from it instead of being merged with the pool, when the conditions are satisfied.
