Replace this text with your caption Section 2.3 covered how to string 4 2-bit adders in order to create a 4-bit adder. After connecting the output of each subsequent addition to the associated display, I connected the cout of an adder to the next one which handled the case where the sum of 2 bits was greater than 1. If the final addition had a cout, it was transmitted to a 7-segnment display which was otherwise blank.
