Social support and poverty alleviation among adult refugees and

Abstract
This systematic review protocol aims to summarise the existing evidence
on the characteristics of social support associated with alleviating the
effects of poverty on the psychological wellbeing of refugees and
asylum-seekers resettled in Western Countries. The evidence will allow
better understanding of the psychological dimensions of poverty and
forced migration. The findings will contribute to resaerch on improving
psychologically informed policy and interventions that seek to tackle
the effects of poverty on the psychological wellbeing of refugees and
asylum-seekers in resettlement in Western countries.
