Abstract
The article discusses the need for an objective assessment of SQL skills
for employees and the shortcomings of current tests on the market. The
authors developed and validated a new assessment that tests for insight
and found it to be a good objective measure of skill level for the
intended target population. The assessment offers a solution to mitigate
risks associated with errors in SQL queries and provides an objective
means to assess skills and knowledge. However, there is still some
uncertainty in the interpretation of test results.
