Large parts of the collections were sent away.  Later, Kumpula Campus Library cut 40\% of its printed collections in 2012--2013.  Can the outcome from the merger these mergers be  measured in terms of collection use and research output? Was the change for better or worse? Are Helsinki astronomers getting the library services they need for doing their research?
