The library is taking e-resources seriously by phasing out all print subscriptions to journals and there is a strong development of journals. Parallel to that,  e-book collections. collections are developed strongly.  The main problem with the latter latter, shared with many other libraries,  has so far been the difficulty of obtaining relevant titles when they are acutely needed. A comparison to with  other Finnish universities seems to show that neither the institutional mergers orthe  big changes in collection policies have had no clearly clear  adverse effect -- quite the contrary.
