\subsection{Argon Experiment}
This experiment had an identical wiring to the neon experiment. The main difference was the voltage settings for the DC Power
Supply. \textbf{(show a wiring diagram of the new set up?)}\\ Supply.\\
After adjusting the voltages until we were able to optimize the anode current verses the accelerating voltage graph, we ended up with these settings:

A common issue was encountered that for The only difference between the
apparatus for neon (Fig. \ref{fig:appartus}) and argon
experiment was grounding. Since it is
very hard to see the connections inside the argon or neon tube, the best way to debug the that an additional grounding
issues wire was
by guessing added between the heater and
checking. For the
argon experiment, we had cathode for argon. The lack of the wire resulted in a
grounding issue floating potential between
these two points instead of being at the
cathode and heater. This was same potential. By simply
solved by connecting adding a wire between
those these two
points. points, the problem was solved. However,
every tube is different, which means that the
apparatus should always be tested more than once before sending lack of connection could have possibly damaged the high voltage
