As you can see from Table 2, the stellar orbit I used in the spiral galaxy $ESO286-G16$ has an orbital velocity of $179.19 \textrm{ km/s}$. That means that relative to the galaxy, the point is moving at a speed of $179.19 \textrm{ km/s}$. We were only able to do this because spiral galaxies are round and that means that the line of nodes is the major axis.
Now that I found the orbital velocity, I still need to find the distance to the
galaxy (r). galaxy.
