In order to use r in equation 1, I needed to find r
(semi-major axis or a) in meters, so I had to convert from arc second to radians by multiplying by $4.84813681109762 \cdot 10^{-6} \textrm{ radian/arc second}$, convert from radian to parsec by multiplying by the distance to the galaxy, and than by multiplying by $3.09 \cdot 10^{16} \textrm{ meters/parsec}$. Now that I have found the semi-major axis in meters, I can finally find the mass of galaxy $ESO286-G16$. You can see all the Semi-major Axis values in Table 3 the Mass Values in Table 4.
