Initially a A few scans
that had failed initial QC due to small amounts of dura classified as brain at the top of the head
that required editing and were mistakenly excluded.
Those These scans
were then are now included
to see if it affected and do not change the results (in particular, $CV_a$, as this is the most important for power calculations).
Including these subjects did not change We have included the
results, and results from the revised
results are shown dataset in the manuscript.
eTIV registration checks were also added to For the
new QC
procedure. This makes sense because procedure, eTIV was checked as suggested by the reviewer; this
QC check is
advantageous in being the
one first step of the
first steps in recon-all and
a bad registration is sensitive to misregistration to the talairach template
that could lead to
innacurate inaccurate segmentations overall.
Finally only 3 scans were
left out from eTIV misregistration in total: 1 scan rejected due to failing QC at the registration step which were all from the same subject
in from sites 4 and 6 and
another second subject at site 11.
Due Three other scans were not included due to
time constraints, acquisition/ data transfer issues: One scan was not
all 12 people were able acquired due to
be scanned at some of the sites. Other scans that were left out include time constraints, one scan
where was left out because part of the head was not acquired (possibly the files were corrupted), and one scan was
left out because it was an identical copy of erroneously deleted at the
first instead of a rescan (perhaps a problem with transferring data). site. A column
was has been added in the acquisition tables to reflect how many actual scans were acquired at each
site, and information about why the scans were left out was added in the Methods section. site.
