There was a typo where I wrote $\alpha$ instead of $a$, and it is reflected in the text:  "The \textit{"The  OLS was run with the intercept fixed at 0.\textbf{ $CV_a$ } for each metric was calculated as follows:" follows:"}  \begin{equation}  CV_{a} = \frac{std(\hat{a})}{mean(\hat{a})}  \label{eq:cvadef}  \end{equation}  As stated earlier in the text (equation 4), we assume $a$ to come from a normal distribution:  

a_j \sim N(\mu_{a},\sigma_a^2)  \end{equation}  The $CV_a$ estimate is calculated from the mean and standard deviation of the sampling distribution of the estimate of  $a$
