We use our method to measure pumping behavior for animals at no food to high food levels (OD$_{600}$ 0.0 and 4.0). The distribution of instantaneous pumping rates looks bimodal, with a peak at lower frequencies and a peak at higher frequencies
Fig. (\ref{fig:results}A). The animals modulate their feeding behavior in the chips in response to the flow speed. When no food is present, the animals have a non-zero pumping rate as previously reported (Avery? Horvitz,
Fig. \ref{fig:results}B).
The mean rates for high food are comparable to the previously reported maximum pumping rates, between 3-4 Hz.
