Also $\xi^n(x,a)-x^2\xi^{n-2}(x,a)=a^n$.  and $\xi^n(x,a)-a^2\xi^{n-2}(x,a)=x^n$.  It could then be written \begin{equation}  \frac{d\psi(x)}{dx} =   - \psi(x) \frac{2xq\xi^{10}(x,a)+ 12a^6x^5}{\xi^{10}(x,a)(a^{2}-x^{2})}  \end{equation}  The strange additional term is curious. Perhaps, the expansion of binomial like terms canceled out all but this central term.
