We could go by the standard that a vector is a column vector untill transposed and then rewrite $F$ as \begin{equation}  F_{\mu\nu}=\begin{bmatrix} 0 & \textbf{E}^T \\ -\textbf{E} & \hat{S}\textbf{B} \end{bmatrix}  \end{equation}  and we have a reduced form.
