\section{Challenges for agroforestry adoption}  Despite its potential to adapt to changing climate conditions, the adoption rate of agroforestry technologies in Africa is still low \cite{ndjeunga2005uptake}. This section discussess the challenges for agroforestry that needs to be overcome for a widespread adoption. Thereby Generally,  two cases have to be distinguished: situations in which agroforestry has not been adopted at all and situations in which agroforestry has been adopted but abandoned after some time \cite{Dahlquist_2007,Kiptot_2007}. For the scope of this paper we primarily focus on the cases in which agroforestry is not adopted at all.  \subsection{Barriers for adoption}
