\section{Agro Forestry} \section{Agroforestry}  This section focuses on agroforestry as a promising adaptation measure for African food systems. An agroforestry system commonly involves the following four aspects \cite{Nair_1993}:  \begin{itemize}  \item at least two species of plants of which at least one is of woody perennial  \item two or more outputs  \item a cycle exceeding one year  \item even the most simplest system is ecologically (structurally and functionally) more complex than a monocropping system  \end{itemize}  Agro Forestry, where planting trees falls under, is a strategy that involves combining regular crops with trees (and shrubs) to increase the succes of their crops and generate extra income. This can be done trough easy systems like intercropping, alley cropping and hedgerow cropping or more complex systems that form a natural forrest ecosystem \cite{Mbow_2014a}.   Trees have many advantages that include water tapping, prevention of nutrient leaching, decreasing carbon in the atmospphere, buffer climatic extremes, change the surface albedo, providing benefits like fruits, fuel and medicinal qualities, and even influence rain pattertns \cite{Mbow_2014a}.
