this Figure 8. This  figure shows the relationship between rp (transverse separation) and delta v (the velocity offset). We see that there seems to be no relationship between the variables in the figure. Much of the data however seems to be clustered tat the bottom right of the figure. this suggests that an increase in rp might result in a increase in quasar pair velocity offset
