Membership application is a two-step process in which organizations first fill out an eligibility form which is then assessed by streetfootballworld. If eligible, organizations fill out an application form. The member profile update is conducted annually among all network member. Network members are sent another form to fill out. Finally, when applying for grants distributed by streetfootballworld its member organizations provide a concept and budget which are evaluated by streetfootballworld. For these purposes network members are provided Word documents which they fill out and e-mail to streetfootballworld which then manually transfers the information to spreadsheets.  Three During the workshop the experts tackled three  key questions: 1. How can streetfootballworld optimize data collection and processing in its three core processes (Membership Application, Member Profile Update, Grantmaking)?["Wie kann streetfootballworld seine Datenerfassung und -verarbeitung für die drei Kernprozesse (Membership Application, Member Profile Update, Grantmaking) optimieren?"]  2. Which additional data should be collected in the three core processes?["Welche zusätzlichen Daten sollten im Rahmen der drei Kernprozesse gegebenenfalls erhoben werden?"]  3. How can streetfallworld streetfootballworld  use the data which it collects through its three core processes for its partner acquisition and campaigns?["Wie kann streetfootballworld die im Rahmen der drei Kernprozesse erhobenen Daten für die Partnerakquise und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit nutzen?"]  2.1 The first workshop proceeded with a presentation of the collaborating organizations CorrelAid and streetfootballworld. We then presentation of streetfootbalworld. All participants encouraged to take notes. "Sololauf" experts were given 15 min to develop ideas by themselves, consult sfw team members on individual basis. randomly allocated to three different groups which further worked on ideas. presentation of ideas and discussion in group. Popular ideas to unify information on network members in a single database. Ideas circled around reducing manual labor necessary to process applications, team members can dedicate more of their time for conceptual and organizational work.  ##  Key recommendations from the workshop - **Transfer existing data from the various forms, documents and spreasheets into one database.** Information on membership is currently stored in multiple files. The contents of this could be transfered to a single database. This would avoid having data on one MO being spread over several sources. This would make it easier to look for information as there is only one source instead of multiple files that could contain potentially relevant information. A data base solution reduces the risk of a team member accidentally making and saving changes to the data. Possible database technologies are SQL or Microsot Access. Alternatively, a CRM could be used. At the time of the workshop CorrelAid for instance used the tool Podio to manage its network members and application process.   - **Provide an upload form for the Word forms that the organizations provide.** This would free streetfootballworld team members from processing e-mails and saving files to a hard drive. Such a webform would not just receive files but also automatically give the file the right name and save it in the right folder structure. The program behind the webform would simply read the content of the submitted document and rename and save it accordingly. Alternatively the submitting organization can be asked to provide its name in the form base on which their file will be named. A more advanced program could also automatically transfer the contents of the webform to a spreadsheet or database.
