Replace A Fermi-Dirac-like probability density function. In  this text with your caption example $\sigma=1$ and $\mu=10\sigma$ (e.g. $\mu/\sigma = 10$). The point where $h_0 = \mu/\sigma$ is the point at which the pdf is equal to half its value at $h_0 = 0$ (e.g. $p(h_0=0|\sigma, \mu, I) = 2p(h_0=\mu/\sigma| \sigma, \mu, I)$).
