Moreover, further signal enhancement can be achieved by hybridizing metal nanoparticle arrays with dielectric nanoparticles arrays to assemble mettalo-dielectric or opto-plasmonic hybrid hetero-nanoparticles arrays structures. (Fig.21) The metal nanoparticle’s near field electric field can be increased by localizing light energy by constructive interference with the designed hybridized NCA, and better performance of the SERS signal can be obtained.
