\subsection{Contact Map examples}  We shown in the figures below some examples of contact maps of domains families with the related DCA predictions. predictions.\\  The figure are built in the following way.\\  The upper triangle of the figure shows the intra-chain structure contact map, i.e. the union of the several contact map computed from the solved structures. In grey are depicted the experimentally solved contacts residues pairs. Drawn from light grey to dark according to the number of structural units (PDB,chain, biological assembly) in which the pair is in contact (distance less than 8A).The first L (length of the domain) predictions are shown, green for the true positive and red for the false positive. \\  In the lower triangle part of the figure are shown the inter-chain structure contact map. The color code are the same of the upper part. The predictions refers to the first intra-chain false positives above a given threshold of the DCA score.
